18/8/2010Improved provision on Lines 240, 241, 242 and 243
De Lijn is improving its provision on a few regional lines from 1 September 2010. Frequencies will be increased, buses will run earlier and/or later... In short, you will reach your destination more quickly.
What is changing as from 1 September 2010 for Lines 240, 241, 242 and 243?
- We are increasing the frequency during the morning and evening rush hours on the route common to Lines 240, 241, 242 and 243 between Brussel – Noord and Wemmel – Robbrechts. More buses will run between Wemmel and Brussels in the morning. More buses will also run between Brussels and Wemmel in the evening. Passengers will be able to board a bus going home every 8 minutes.
- We are increasing the frequency on Line 242. A bus will run at least once an hour between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. from September. This optimisation of Line 242 means that the industrial zone of Mollem will be better served in relation to Asse; it also guarantees improved service for the Campus in Wemmel.
- The route of these lines will not be changed. Running times will be adjusted during rush hour to increase reliability.
Please note!
The departure time of your trusted bus may changed due to these improvements. Be sure to consult the timetable (Dutch version) of your line to see whether anything changes for you. Be sure to enter a date after 1 September 2010.
