Organisation
De Lijn is organised locally. In every Flemish province a provincial department or entity provides daily service and contact with passengers.
The headquarters in Mechelen (Central Department) coordinates and supports the operation of the entities and outlines a global policy.
In total about 10,800 people are ready to help you. Approximately 8,300 of them work for De Lijn, about 2,500 for private companies that ride under the authority of De Lijn.

Annual report
Tram and bus are more than ever an attractive means of transport. Public transport is 'hot' and the figures prove it. In the 1990s De Lijn transported about 220 million customers annually. In 2009 it more than doubled that amount with 531 million passengers.
This success is due to the very attractive fares and our constant attention to quality.
