Omnipas 65+: over 65 years

Thanks to a Flemish Government initiative, you can travel with all of De Lijn and TEC's buses and trams for free as of your 65th birthday. All you have to do is show your Omnipas 65+. To travel on the MIVB network you need a MOBIB card. You can request one in every MIVB BOOTIK sales point or by using BOOTIK online. You must pay a €5 deposit for the MOBIB card.

Did you know that you can avoid the bustle if you travel outside the morning and evening rush-hours (from 7 to 9 a.m. and from 4 to 6 p.m.)? During the off-peak periods our vehicles are less full.

If you possess an Omnipas 65+ a maximum of 4 children aged 6 to 11 years can travel with you for free.

How to request one?

If you are domiciled in Flanders you will receive your Omnipas 65+ at least one week before your 65th birthday. Are you 65 years or older but didn't receive an Omnipas 65+? Contact De Lijn's Subscription Service .

How to use it?

The new Omnipas 65+, valid as of 1 January 2008, does not have to be validated in the ticket punch. That means you simply board the vehicle like the other season ticket holders. You must show the driver your Omnipas 65+ when boarding the vehicle. Then you can take a seat in the vehicle.

Strictly personal

The Omnipas 65+ is a personalised ticket and is strictly personal: only the owner can use it. Our ticket inspectors and drivers regularly check the validity of tickets and passes. You must show your Omnipas 65+ and your ID card during every inspection.

Renewal

Your Omnipas 65+ is valid until 31 December 2012. After that you will automatically receive a new pass.

Didn't receive one or lost it?

If you didn't receive your Omnipas 65+ in the month of your birthday, contact De Lijn's Subscription Service as quickly as possible. We will send your Omnipas 65+ as quickly as possible.

If you lose your Omnipas 65+ or it is stolen, contact our Subscription Service for a duplicate as quickly as possible. You can also request a duplicate by completing a duplicate request form (NL-version - pdf - 62KB) and sending it to De Lijn's Subscription Service. A duplicate costs €10 regardless of the number of duplicates that you requested in the past.
