Tickets in combination with an excursion

At De Lijn you can purchase tickets that enable you to go on a tourist excursion or attend an event at strongly reduced prices. De Lijn has made fare agreements with the organisations involved.

Combo ticket Sportpaleis - De Lijn

To encourage use of public transportation from and to the Sportpaleis, the Sportpaleis sells combo tickets Sportpaleis – De Lijn. With a combo ticket you have unlimited use of De Lijn's trams and buses in Antwerp on the day of the event and you have access to the event in the Sportpaleis.

If you order a ticket for an event in the Sportpaleis, you pay a solidarity contribution of €0.50 for the use of trams and buses to and from the Sportpaleis.

Here is a summary of events in the Sportpaleis .

TOV ticket Antwerp and Mechelen

With the TOV ticket (Taxi and Public Transport) you travel outbound with the bus or tram in the Antwerp/Mechelen city area and receive a €2 discount off your taxi ride home. Ideal for an appointment in the city, a comfortable afternoon of shopping or an evening out.

Price and validity

The TOV ticket costs €2.50. It is good for an outbound journey with the bus or tram in the Antwerp/Mechelen city area and a €2 (in Antwerp) or €2.50 (in Mechelen) discount off your taxi ride home.

Where can you purchase one?

  • The TOV ticket Antwerp can be purchased in the buses of the Antwerp city area.
  • The TOV ticket Mechelen can be purchased in the buses of the Mechelen city area.

A good tip

  • If you travel together (maximum four passengers per taxi), you only pay part of the normal price or nothing at all.
  • If the total value of the TOV ticket is higher than the price of the taxi ride then the taxi driver will not reimburse the difference.

Free on tram and bus to the Flemish Opera

Vlaamse Opera

During the 2011-2012 opera season you can show your ticket on the day of the show and ride on the tram or bus within the Ghent city zone for free.

This is valid for both the outbound and home journeys and is valid for one person. This is not viewed as a season ticket so it does not give you the right to free transport for accompanying children aged 6 to 11.

Since December 2007, De Lijn in Ghent has been offering more frequent transport during the day and later transport at night until 2 a.m. You no longer have to hurry to catch your tram or bus after the show because another one will come around. In combination with the Night Buses, De Lijn rides during the weekend 24 hours a day.

The Flemish Opera in Ghent is located on de Kouter, near the stops of tram lines 1, 21 and 22.

See www.vlaamseopera.be for more information.
