Say hello on De Lijn Driver's Day
Together, we count down ... to Thursday, November 6, 2025, because that's the Day of the De Lijn Driver. The perfect moment to put our bus and tram drivers in the spotlight. We'll make it an unforgettable event, with plenty of warm greetings and surprising moments on the radio station MNM.
Say Hello!
The smallest gestures make the biggest difference: cheerful waving, easy high-fiving, or warmly wishing someone ‘A great day’. That's what we want to do on Thursday, November 6, 2025.
We encourage you to explicitly say ‘hello’ to our bus and tram drivers. This will give them fresh motivation for the workday and/or make them feel appreciated after a long shift. Choose for yourself whether you go for a broad smile or a sincere “Good luck!”
MNM joins the celebration
Also, make sure to turn on the radio that day. Tune in to MNM and listen as flying reporters Laura Govaerts and Robin Keyaert literally shower our drivers with appreciation.
Why this initiative?
Because we want to thank our drivers for their dedication and encourage the public to do the same. That’s why we are participating in the radio broadcast and launching the Say Hello campaign on our social media channels, our app, and our media screens in Lijnwinkels, among other places.
It's also a great opportunity to introduce you to the role of a driver, especially since we are still looking for warm, people-oriented individuals who want to make a difference with us.
