Investing in school-age young people means investing in the future, and that is important for both your city or municipality and De Lijn. That’s why we are taking steps to tell children starting secondary school in September about public transport. This also gives them the opportunity to try out travelling to and from school with De Lijn.

Schools campaign

As usual, secondary schools can order free information material until the end of May. They can use this material to draw attention to their accessibility by public transport during open days. Schools receive displays and information leaflets about the Buzzy Pazz and can easily place our route planner on their school website.

Parents can visit www.delijn.be/naarschool to map out the route to the school and for more information about the Buzzy Pazz.

Try-out offer

In addition, De Lijn is planning a try-out offer in September. Children going to secondary school for the first time will receive a free one-month travel pass from De Lijn. This will allow them to experience the benefits of a Buzzy Pazz for a month, both for getting to school and in their leisure time. Parents with children born in 2007 will receive a letter in June with all the practical information.
