From 18 to 22 September the Time Trial World Championships will take place between Knokke-Heist and Bruges.

De Lijn, the organiser and the City of Bruges have joined forces to make the passage of the cyclists and the World Cup caravan as smooth as possible.

During the construction and dismantling periods, various city, regional and evening lines will be diverted.

  • Construction period: 13 to 17 September
  • Completion period: 23 and 24 September

During the competition days from 8 am to 8 pm:

  • 8  World Cup shuttles, supplemented by two shuttles from Bruges city, replace the Bruges city network
  • regional lines run to the outskirts of the city, not into the city centre
  • Do you travel to the city for work, pleasure or to cheer on the riders? Then transfer to a shuttle bus at the interchanges on the outskirts of the city.

The evening lines do not serve 't Zand and have been diverted.

Organisation during the competition days (18 to 22 September)

  • During this period, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., the regional lines no longer run into the city, but stop at the city outskirts. Do you want to get to the city for work, pleasure or to cheer on the riders?
Then get on a World Cup shuttle bus at the interchanges. These run as a replacement for the regular Bruges city network.

Diversions during the assembly and disassembly periods

  • Construction period: 13 to 17 September
  • Completion period: 23 and 24 September

During the construction and dismantling of the route and the arrival zone the city, regional and evening lines will follow a diversion. They do not pass via 't Zand in either direction. This also means that the bus platforms 't Zand, Vrijdagsmarkt and Zuidzandstraat are not being served.

The stops Hoefijzerlaan and Beenhouwersstraat also cannot be served.

The historic centre of Bruges can only be served by lines 4 and 14 (diversion via Langestraat). The city lines 1, 11, 6 and 16 are diverted via the ring. Line 12 will not operate during this period.

Due to the placing of temporary fencing and constructions across the roadway, the area around 't Zand, Bevrijdingslaan and Dudzele may experience additional nuisance on certain days.

All details can be found in our route planner or at the stops.
