Join us on the journey towards less CO₂

A lot has changed in recent years, and that means that Flemish people are now re-evaluating their life choices. How do we make our homes, do our work and live our lives? And above all, how do we move about? And what impact does that have on the climate? Public transport is an important factor in this. And that’s why, with our 30 years of experience as a bus and tram operator, we’ve taken on a leading role. With this campaign, we put that message very much in the spotlight.

The campaign slogan, ‘Join us on the journey towards less CO₂’, should be taken literally. We’re ambitious: not only do our trams already run on 100% green electricity, but by 2035 De Lijn will have reduced its annual CO₂ emissions by 172,000 tons with extra electric buses. Did you know that one full bus replaces up to 30 cars? That’s a lot less particulate matter and nitrogen in the air. What a breath of fresh air!
