Safe and affordable way to travel to your campsite

Are you leaving soon for a multi-day camp with your recognized youth organization and still looking for transportation to and/or from the camp location? Discover the options with bus or tram. Which option suits my organization best?

  • Are you traveling with fewer than 45 people and is there a stop near your camp site?

    • Then use a regular bus line.

  • Are you traveling with 45 people or more?

    • Then camp transport might be something for you.

Tickets and Rates

  • For both the regular bus line and camp transport, you must purchase a valid ticket. With a group ticket, you pay only 2.10 euros per traveler. Of course, you can also travel with other tickets, such as a Buzzy Pazz.

  • It's best to purchase your (group) ticket in advance at a ticket machine, online on the website or app, or at a Lijnwinkel.

  • Don’t forget to scan your card when boarding at the yellow scanner.

Camping with a Regular Bus Line

Is there a stop near your camp site and are you traveling in a group smaller than 45 people? Then use a regular line.

Conditions:

  • No reservation is needed in advance.

  • If it is busy on the vehicle, a large group may have to be split up.

  • Limit the luggage you bring so that other travelers also have enough space.

  • Check if there is a bus stop near your camp site. Then use our route planner.

Camping with Camp Transport

From June 23 to August 31, 2025, we are offering, together with the Flemish Government, an affordable option for each recognized youth movement going to camp. As a recognized youth association, you pay only the standard rate, even if De Lijn has to schedule an additional service. The Flemish Government covers the rest.

You can no longer reserve camp transportation this summer.

The deadline to reserve camp transportation for this summer has passed according to the conditions below.

Conditions:

  • Advance booking is mandatory. Book at least 3 weeks before your departure, there is limited availability.

  • Camp transport is only available for travel to and from a camp site, not for transportation during a regular day trip or for day trips during a camp stay. For transportation during day trips, you can rely on private bus and coach companies. You can visit the FBAA website to find an operator and request a quote.

  • Try to complete as much of your route by train as possible. The bus route can be a maximum of 50km.

  • Both the departure and arrival stops must be regular De Lijn stops (no flexible stops).

  • If your group consists of more than 45 people, De Lijn will consider whether the capacity of the normal services needs to be increased. In that case, we deploy larger vehicles or schedule additional services.

  • If you cancel the camp transport request less than 2 business days before the departure date or if you do not show up, the actual cost will be charged to the youth association.

  • A line bus does not have separate luggage space, so limit the luggage you bring. In case of overcrowding, the driver may refuse the transport of luggage.
