Management committee

The management committee is the management team of De Lijn and consists of the director-general and the seven directors.

Tasks

  • Assist the Director-General when executing the board's decisions.

  • Prepare the documents for the other governing bodies.

  • Inform the governing bodies about the company's exploitation.

  • Give advice about:

    • transport policy

    • coordination and cooperative agreements between the company and other transport companies

    • presentation and coordination of prices

    • coordination and checking of surcharges

    • investment programming

    • purchase of rolling stock

    • marketing and commercial policy

    • purchase and sale of real estate

    • administrative and financial status of the personnel and personnel information

    • financial policy

Management committee

The Flemish Government appoints the Director-General. The Director-General executes the board's decisions and presides over the company's daily affairs. The Director-General lawfully attends the meetings of the board of directors and the general assembly of the advisory voice. 

Ann Schoubs has been director-general of De Lijn since 1 January 2021.
