Planning an accessible ride

Do you want to plan an accessible ride? Advance bookings are not required for a ride with regular public transport. Do you want to book an accessible flexride? Please mention this when making your first booking.

An accessible ride with regular public transport

There’s no need to book in advance. You have a choice:

  • You can go to the De Lijn website or app to check the accessibility status of the stops where you will be getting on and off.

  • If you are unable to do this, you can also enquire via DeLijnInfo

You can travel with a wheelchair if the stops where you will be getting on and off have at least ‘accessible with assistance’ status and the vehicle is accessible.

An accessible ride with the flexbus

Do you need accessible flexible transport (De Lijn Flex)? Mention this to the De Lijn Flex-Switchboard when you make your first phone booking for flexible transport (015 40 88 88). Depending on your mobility needs

  • we can provide an accessible vehicle

  • you may or may not be able to travel the proposed combined mobility route(s) directly in one flexbus.*

* Note: If your journey will take you outside your own ‘flexible area’, you will still have to combine different means of transport.

After your first telephone registration, your needs are registered. From then on you can book with both the De Lijn Flex-app and the De Lijn Flex-Switchboard.
