Cross-border travel on line 42

Together with the Dutch transport operator Connexxion, we run line 42 Brugge – Breskens, a bus line that connects Belgium and the Netherlands. And that affects you as a traveller, because in both countries you need a correct and valid ticket.

A De Lijn ticket:

  • Should always be used for your journey

    between Brugge Station and Sint Anna Ter Muiden Havenstraat

  • Is

    valid as far as

    the

    Sluis Ridderstraat

    stop.

  • Must be scanned when you board (in the case of a travel pass* or ticket on electronic card) at the yellow scanner.

  • Can be bought in advance in digital form via text, the De Lijn app or the website, and activated before boarding.

  • Can be bought on the vehicle at the white terminal when you board and paid for with a contactless payment method (bank card, smartphone or watch with Apple Pay or Google Pay).

* As a travel pass holder, you can also register/board digitally on the app.

A Connexxion ticket:

    between Breskens Veerhaven and Sint Anna Ter Muiden Havenstraat

  • Is

    valid as far as

    the

    Westkapelle Dorp

    stop.

  • Can be bought contactlessly on the bus at the black check-in post.

  • Remember to check out when getting off the bus too!

Travelling further than Sluis? Between Westkapelle Dorp and Sluis Ridderstraat, buy or use the ticket you need to travel towards Brugge or Breskens.
