Income guarantee for the elderly

In some cases you may be entitled to an annual travel pass at a reduced rate.

What and for whom?

In certain cases you are entitled to an annual travel pass (Omnipas) at a reduced rate. You will be granted this discount if you:

  • receive an income guarantee for the elderly

What discount will I get?

For an annual travel pass (Omnipas) you pay just 54 euro.

  • (plus a 6-euro administrative fee for a MOBIB card if you don’t already have one)

How do I buy my discounted travel pass?

Online through the application form

  • Complete the digital application form and upload the following documents:

    • the certificate of income guarantee for the elderly (or a copy of it) that you received from the federal pension service (for the year concerned)

    • a copy or photo of your identity card (front and back)

    • a passport photo if you do not have a national register number

  • We’ll check your details and send you an email with payment instructions. Click on the link in the email and pay for your travel pass.

  • After we’ve received your payment, your travel pass will automatically appear on your MOBIB card.

    • Haven’t got a MOBIB card yet? You’ll receive a MOBIB card with your travel pass on it at your official address within fifteen working days.

At the Lijnwinkel store

  • Call in at a Lijnwinkel store and show us the following documents:

    • your identity card or a copy/photo of it (front and back)

    • the certificate of income guarantee for the elderly that you received from the federal pension service (for the year concerned)

    • a passport photo if you do not have a national register number

  • After you have paid you can take your travel pass away with you.
