Subsidies
As a city or municipality, you can reclaim a large portion of the cost for both subsidized stop accommodations and your own design. Therefore, apply for a subsidy for stop accommodations in your municipality.
How much is such a subsidy?
For the delivery and installation of a shelter with a bench and trash can, the subsidy amounts to 75% of the cost, with a maximum of 12,000 euros (including VAT). You can also apply for a subsidy for a separate trash can or bench.
For the delivery and installation of a bicycle parking rack, the subsidy is also 75% of the cost, with a maximum of 11,000 euros (including VAT).
The same amounts apply for the subsidy of a custom design.
Here's how the procedure works:
You apply for the subsidy at the Department of Mobility and Public Works, with approval certificates 1 and 2 that you receive during the ordering procedure from De Lijn.
The procedure for subsidized stop facilities and that for a custom design are different.
Subsidized stop facilities
When you place multiple requests in the same file, please note that we will only issue the approval certificates upon the full completion of all stops.
Custom design
You can also obtain a subsidy for a custom-designed shelter.
