Free 10-journey card for new residents

All new residents of Zwalm receive a 10-journey card for free.

Discount on Buzzy Pazz and Omnipas thanks to the Public Welfare Centre

Zwalm Public Welfare Centre (OCMW) gives a 25% discount on De Lijn travel passes to residents of limited means. The discount is available for people who narrowly fail to qualify for a Preferential Reimbursement or Transport Guarantee travel pass:

People with low incomes: you can inquire about the gross taxable income conditions at the OCMW
People under budget management or collective debt settlement

The discount applies to the Buzzy Pazz (up to 24 years) and Omnipas (25 to 64 years) with a validity period of 1, 3 or 12 months. However, the discount is not valid for Preferential Reimbursement or Transport Guarantee travel passes.

How do you request it?

You will need a certificate whenever you request a travel pass with a discount; this can be obtained from the OCMW. With this certificate and your identity card, go to any Lijnwinkel store in East Flanders to purchase your travel pass. You can also send a completed certificate together with a copy of your identity card to De Lijn’s Travel Pass department. You will be sent a bank transfer form, and your travel pass will be sent to you after you have used this to make your payment. In both cases, the OCMW discount is automatically deducted from the price.

A travel pass with an OCMW discount cannot be purchased online. Note: you must have a new certificate for each travel pass that you wish to purchase with the discount from the OCMW. If there are several children (over 12 years old) in the same household, you can additionally benefit from the household discount.
