How does it work?

Step 1

Plan your journey

Choose the time when you want to travel first. Make your choice between "depart at" or "arrive at." Need to arrive somewhere on time? Then choose the "arrive at" option. Then, enter your departure location and destination.

Step 2

Choose your route

The De Lijn Flex-planner provides one or more travel options. You will likely complete your journey with regular public transport. If that's not entirely possible, we'll suggest a flex ride. You will be given a 30-minute time window. Confirm this proposal and book your ride.

Step 3

Keep an eye on your phone

Give the app permission to send you notifications in the app or disable these notifications if you prefer to receive a text message.

Cancel or change

If you can't make it to your reserved flexbus, please cancel your trip as soon as possible, at least 30 minutes in advance.


You can do this via:

  • De Lijn Flex-app

  • the website

  • or the De Lijn Flex-center (015 40 88 88)

This way, we make space for other travelers.

Strict follow-up of no-shows

Travellers who fail to show up multiple times without cancelling (“no-shows”) will now receive a warning or temporary suspension.

How does it work?

  • First time not showing up: you will receive only a warning via SMS.

  • Second time not showing up (within 30 days): you will receive a formal written (or digital) warning explaining the procedures.

  • Third time not showing up (within 30 days after the formal warning): you will be suspended for 14 days and will receive a written notification with a summary of missed trips.

  • Not showing up again (within 30 days after the end of a previous suspension): you will be suspended again, this time for 30 days.

Want to file a defense?

You have 5 business days to file an objection via reservatie@flex.delijn.be if the no-show was not your fault. Each request will be evaluated individually.
