Safety tips

Enjoy the coast, but keep an eye out for the Coastal Tram!

Here are a few vital safety tips:

  • The Coastal Tram always has priority, including over cyclists and pedestrians – even at pedestrian crossings.

  • Avoid the Coastal Tram’s track and the associated parking lanes.

  • The Coastal Tram often passes among dunes where visibility is reduced.

  • Look out for traffic signs.

  • Stay alert: Coastal Trams are frequent and can come from both directions.

  • Supervise children in busy traffic.

  • Bear in mind that the Coastal Tram runs very quietly and can’t stop instantly.

  • Always take the shortest route when crossing.
