Tram Network Ghent: Offer & construction Projects

• Operates during peak hours eight times per hour, off-peak six times per hour.

• Travels from Flanders Expo via Sint-Pietersstation, Bijloke, Rozemarijnbrug, Papegaaistraat, Koophandelsplein, and Kouter to Gent Zuid, with the final stop at Gentbrugge Moscou.

• Also passes by P+R Ledeberg, P+R Flanders Expo, and P+R Maaltebruggepark where you can easily leave your car to board tram T1.

• After the redevelopment of the Petercelle corridor (Kortrijksepoortstraat, Nederkouter, Koophandelsplein, Veldstraat), it goes via Verlorenkost, Korenmarkt, and Gravensteen, with the final stop at Muidebrug.

• Due to works in the area of Koophandelsplein from August 3 to 31, it runs a limited route between Moscou and Kouter.

• Due to works in the area of Sint-Pietersstation from September 1 to 13, it runs between Moscou and Gent Sint-Pieters.

• Route includes P+R Arsenaal and P+R E17, where you can easily leave your car to board the T2 tram.
• Trams run eight times an hour, and as much as ten times an hour in the rush hour on the stretch between Melle Leeuw and Wondelgem Industrieweg.
• From September 1, 2025, work in Wondelgem will involve disruptions on T2.

• Runs from Zwijnaarde via Sint-Pietersstation, Rozemarijnbrug, and Kouter to Gent Zuid, with the final stop at Gentbrugge Moscou.

• Passes by P+R Ledeberg and P+R Hekers, where you can easily leave your car and hop on tram T3.

• Operates eight times per hour during peak hours and six times per hour during off-peak hours.

• Due to works in the area of Koophandelsplein, runs from August 3 to 31 between Kouter and Zwijnaarde.

• Rides from UZ Gent via Sint-Pietersstation, Rozemarijnbrug , Brugsepoort , Rabot and Muide to the new terminus in Lange Steenstraat.
• From Lange Steenstraat, Gent Centrum can be reached within walking distance.
• Runs eight times per hour during peak hours during the day, six times per hour during off-peak hours.

Frequency:

• Daytime: every 7.5 to 10 minutes.

• Nighttime: every 15 minutes.

• Normal service: until 1 PM following the regular route.

• After 1 PM: replaced by GF tram.

• On peak days: additional reinforcement trips T1 possible alongside GF tram.

• Regular service:

  • until 1:00 p.m. following the usual route from Van Beverenplein – Zuid – Melle Leeuw

  • After 1:00 p.m.:

    • the section Zuid – Melle Leeuw will be replaced by a GF tram

    • the section Van Beverenplein to the temporary terminal Gravensteen (Jan Breydelstraat)

• Frequency:

  • Daytime: every 10 minutes

  • At night: last departures at 12:04 a.m., 12:24 a.m., 12:44 a.m., 1:04 a.m., and 1:24 a.m.

Frequency:

• Daytime: every 10 minutes

• Evening: every 15 minutes

Last departures from Gent Zuid:

• to Moscou: 12:54 a.m. (on peak days, service continues until 2:45 a.m. with T1)

• to Zwijnaarde: 1:29 a.m.

Frequency:

• Daytime: every 12 minutes

• Evening: every 15 to 20 minutes

Last trip:

• departure from Lange Steenstraat at 1:11 a.m.

• Runs 12 times per hour between Flanders Expo and Zuid.

• Runs six times per hour between Zuid and Stelplaats Gentbrugge.

• Temporarily runs to Stelplaats instead of Moscou.

• Continues to run eight times per hour between Melle Leeuw and Van Beverenplein.

• Will temporarily not run from September 14, 2026, to May 2027.

• Runs six times per hour, and even eight times during peak hours from Sint-Pietersstation via Rabot and Muide to Lange Steenstraat.

• The tram temporarily no longer runs to the UZ.

• As an alternative, you can:

  • travel from Sint-Pietersstation to the UZ with shuttle bus P3 and line 19;

  • from Gent Zuid with bus line 5a.

• Tramlijn T3 rijdt vanaf 14 september tijdelijk niet meer.

• Ter vervanging rijdt zes keer per uur een vervangende pendelbus tussen Gent Sint-Pieters en Zwijnaarde Bibliotheek, in de spits zelfs tien keer.
