App and web accessibility statement

De Lijn strives to make this app and website accessible to all visitors. You can find a number of examples of this here.

Accessibility Statement for Mobile App

De Lijn strives to make its websites and applications accessible, in accordance with the governance decree of December 7, 2018, which implements the European Directive 2016/2102.

Scope

This accessibility statement applies to:

Compliance Status

These mobile applications are currently not in compliance with the European Accessibility Directive (Directive (EU) 2016/2102), as determined by the regulatory body.

Non-accessible Content

An independent accessibility audit identified several accessibility issues. Below is a summary of the main findings:

  • Not all interactive elements are fully usable with screen readers.

  • Some text and interface elements lack sufficient color contrast.

  • Not all buttons, input fields, and icons have clear, accessible names.

  • The focus order and navigation with the keyboard or assistive technology are not always correct or logical.

These accessibility issues are due to technical limitations and existing design choices. De Lijn is continuously working to improve the accessibility of its mobile applications incrementally.

Preparation of this Accessibility Statement

This accessibility statement was prepared on January 4, 2024, and is based on an audit by a third party, WCAG, commissioned by the Diversity Policy Service of the Flemish government.
