Shuttle Bus Linkeroever-Rechteroever (P5)

Shuttle buses connect Linkeroever with Rechteroever via the Kennedy Tunnel.

What?

The shuttle buses mostly run on dedicated lanes where they do not experience any disruption from city traffic. They only merge right before the Kennedy Tunnel, both on Linkeroever and Rechteroever, allowing them to stay out of the Antwerp Ring traffic as long as possible. These are articulated buses (accordion buses) that can carry more than 100 passengers.

Where?

  • On Linkeroever, they travel from Frederik van Eedenplein via Beatrijslaan to the Kennedy Tunnel.

  • On Rechteroever, they follow the route of tram line 1 via Amerikalei, Britselei, and Frankrijklei to Operaplein.

  • There, they turn around and head back to the Kennedy Tunnel via the Leien.

  • On Linkeroever, they travel back via P+R Linkeroever and Blancefloerlaan to Frederik van Eedenplein.

Why?

  • Linkeroever: the shuttle buses stop at several major mobility hubs, such as P+R Linkeroever and Frederik van Eedenplein.

  • Rechteroever: the shuttle buses take you to the Leien, from the Courthouse to Operaplein. From there, you can head to Meir, towards Central Station, or continue your journey at Rooseveltplaats.

  • The buses run on dedicated lanes and stop at existing stops. Of course, you can travel on the shuttle bus with your De Lijn ticket.
