Group ticket
Are you planning a trip with a large party such as your association, sports club or group of friends? And will there be 10 to 30 people? In that case, it’s best to buy a group ticket.
Is a group ticket just right for you?
Price: 2.10 euro per person
| Where can I buy it? | Ticket type | What travel time do you get? | When’s it valid until? |
|---|---|---|---|
| App or website | Digital | 60 minutes | Valid for 1 year |
| Lijnwinkel store or ticket machine | On card | 60 minutes + complete your ride | Valid for 1 year |
Tip: Avoid peak hours on school days. Group trips should therefore be made after 8.45 and not between 15.30 and 18.00.
How do you use a digital group ticket via the De Lijn app or website?
Buy your group ticket via the website or app. It will then be in your ticket zone.
Before you board, you still need to activate it.Only then can you travel for 60 minutes on all our buses and trams (except the Student Express Lines 178 and 179). Note that the name on your account must be the same as on your identity card.
Stay together as a group for the entire journey. If anyone does want to leave the group, the group ticket must remain with the other passengers on the bus or tram. If you are the holder of the group ticket, you must be present for the entire journey and be able to present a valid proof of identity.
How do you use a group ticket on electronic card?
As soon as you board or transfer, scan your group ticket once. You scan it for the whole group. Hold the card in front of the blue circle at the bottom of the yellow scanner. You can then travel for 60 minutes on all our buses and trams (except the Student Express Lines 178 and 179). You can complete your last ride, of course.
Do you want to know if your group ticket is still valid? First press the info button on the scanner and then scan your card. You’ll then be able to see how long it is still valid for. You can also use the info button on the ticket machines.

Our app: your smart travel companion...
Thanks to the real-time information in our redesigned app, you know when your bus or tram is coming. During the ride you will also be shown the upcoming stops. Take it a step further and set an alarm to notify you when it’s time to get off. Or activate immediately upon entering the vehicle your planned route so that the app guides you from departure to arrival. But that’s not all: our app is useful for lots of things. For buying your ticket, for example, or mapping out the best routes by train, tram, metro or bus.
