1 euro offer on Saturdays

The city of Diest has made arrangements allowing you to make a return trip with De Lijn to Diest on Saturdays for 1 euro, on any bus that runs directly to Diest. The only condition is that on the outward journey you must get off in the Diest city zone and also board in the city zone for the return journey.

Do you have a valid travel pass? Show it to the driver when boarding. All other travellers can obtain a cut-price ticket by text or through the De Lijn website.

Via the website

  • Go to www.delijn.be/diestwinkel.

  • Complete a one-off registration with your surname, first name, email address and telephone number.

  • Then choose the number of free tickets you want to purchase (maximum 10).

  • Pay for the tickets in the payment module with a debit or credit card.

  • When you are at the bus stop, go to www.delijn.be/diestwinkel on your smartphone and activate one or more tickets by tapping the ‘Activate’ button. One active ticket entitles you to one direct outward journey getting off the bus in the city of Diest and one direct return journey boarding the bus in the city of Diest.

  • Show your active ticket to the driver when you board.*

  • You can activate this ticket on Saturdays only.

  • Text DIEST WINKEL to the number 4884 when you are at the stop.

  • You will receive an ticket which entitles you to one direct outward journey getting off the bus in the city of Diest and one direct return journey boarding the bus in the city of Diest.

  • Show the ticket to the driver when you board.

Tip:

Do you want to use one mobile phone to order multiple tickets? Text the order code followed by the number of tickets you want to receive. You will then only pay the operator charge of 0.25 euro once.
