Free travel with TEC line 18

From 6 January 2025, we no longer serve line 13 Leuven-Heverlee-Blanden. We are working with LETEC to make your journey as easy as possible. And if you’re a travel pass holder, we can let you travel for free on TEC line 18 between Blanden and Louvain.

Rely on these lines

Do you normally use line 13 Leuven-Heverlee-Blanden from De Lijn? Don’t worry, there are still various options to reach your destination.

With a voucher, you can ride for free on TEC Line 18 between Leuven Station and Bierbeek Sint-Theresiakapel

You must have a paper voucher issued at the De Lijn store in Leuven. When used in combination with your active De Lijn pass*, this voucher allows you to ride for free on LETEC Line 18 within Flemish territory.

*Please note! You cannot use a student bus pass, Brupass (XL), or City Pass in combination with the voucher.

How does the voucher work?

  • The voucher contains personal information, such as your MOBIB card number and expiry date.

  • The voucher is strictly personal and may not be used by others.

  • Upon presentation of the voucher, you travel for free on TEC line 18.

  • Have you renewed your subscription or taken out a new subscription? Then collect your new voucher at the Lijnwinkel in Leuven

What about a De Lijn ticket or student bus pass?

Are you travelling with an individual De Lijn ticket? Or do you have a student bus pass? If so, you need to purchase a LETEC ticket.
