Free travel with TEC line 18
From 6 January 2025, we no longer serve line 13 Leuven-Heverlee-Blanden. We are working with LETEC to make your journey as easy as possible. And if you’re a travel pass holder, we can let you travel for free on TEC line 18 between Blanden and Louvain.

Rely on these lines
Do you normally use line 13 Leuven-Heverlee-Blanden from De Lijn? Don’t worry, there are still various options to reach your destination.
Travelling between Leuven and Heverlee? There’s a bus on line 2 Leuven-Heverlee or line 12 Leuven Station - Heverlee Campus every 10 minutes.
Travelling between Blanden and Leuven? Then hop on the new Line 4b Vaalbeek-Haasrode-Leuven-Wijgmaal or, with an additional voucher, ride TEC line 18 Leuven-Jodoigne for free (only on Flemish territory - from Leuven stop to Bierbeek Sint-Theresiakapel stop!).
With a voucher, you can ride for free on TEC Line 18 between Leuven Station and Bierbeek Sint-Theresiakapel
You must have a paper voucher issued at the De Lijn store in Leuven. When used in combination with your active De Lijn pass*, this voucher allows you to ride for free on LETEC Line 18 within Flemish territory.
*Please note! You cannot use a student bus pass, Brupass (XL), or City Pass in combination with the voucher.
How does the voucher work?
The voucher contains personal information, such as your MOBIB card number and expiry date.
The voucher is strictly personal and may not be used by others.
Upon presentation of the voucher, you travel for free on TEC line 18.
Have you renewed your subscription or taken out a new subscription? Then collect your new voucher at the Lijnwinkel in Leuven
What about a De Lijn ticket or student bus pass?
Are you travelling with an individual De Lijn ticket? Or do you have a student bus pass? If so, you need to purchase a LETEC ticket.
