Bus lines Waasland and Linkeroever

We have increased service on bus routes in the Waasland region and on Linkeroever. This concerns line 36 and lines 82, 84, 85, and 821.

Line 36

  • We have extended Route 36 on the Left Bank: the buses now run along Blancefloerlaan, among other streets, reaching the new temporary NMBS train station Antwerpen-Linkeroever.

  • There is a bus stop on Thonetlaan, right near the ferry boarding area.

Lines 82, 84, 85, and 821

  • Between P+R Melsele and the ferry on Linkeroever, buses for lines 82, 84, 85, and 821 will follow the path of the current tram lines on Linkeroever.

  • In addition, extra buses are deployed, ensuring up to 8 buses per hour on the route.

  • There is a bus stop on Thonetlaan, right near the ferry boarding area.

  • Buses on lines 84 and 85 temporarily have an additional stop at the NMBS station in Beveren.

Frederik van Eedenplein Mobility Hub

The Frederik van Eedenplein is the major mobility hub on Linkeroever, where you can transfer to:

  • Shuttle bus P5 (Opera – Van Eeden)

  • Bus line 36 (Linkeroever)

  • Bus lines 82, 84, 85, and 821 to/from Beveren

  • Bus lines 87, 93, and 931 to/from Temse, Kruibeke, and Burcht

  • Shared bikes from Velo Antwerpen and Donkey Republic

  • Sint-Anna ferry service

  • Pedestrian tunnel (Sint-Annatunnel)
