Kennedy Cyclist Tunnel
The Kennedy Cyclist Tunnel is part of the Kennedy Tunnel and connects Linkeroever with the South on Rechteroever.
What?
The Kennedy Cyclist Tunnel for cyclists connects Linkeroever (the Beatrijslaan, near the bridge over the highway) with the D’Herbouvillekaai on Rechteroever (near the intersection with Generaal Armstrongweg). The tunnel is accessible via fixed stairs and elevators. You can ride through the cyclist tunnel with a bike, speed pedelec, or moped. You can also walk through the tunnel.
Why?
From Burcht or Zwijndrecht, you can quickly reach theKennedy Cyclist Tunnel.
On Rechteroever, you are immediately at Antwerp South.
When?
The Kennedy Cyclist Tunnel is free to access day and night. Please note: every third Tuesday of the month, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., both lifts undergo maintenance. During maintenance, the lifts are out of service. You can plan your journey using the Slim over de Schelde app.
