  • Children under the age of six travel for free, but must always be accompanied by a paying passenger who is at least 12 years old. View terms and conditions.

  • Did you know that you also have one opportunity to pass on your purchased (unused) tickets via the app or website? Here’s how you do it.

How do you use a 10-journey ticket via the De Lijn app or website?

  • Buy your 10-journey ticket via the website or app. It will then be in your ticket zone.

  • Before you board, you still need to activate it, which can also be done in our app or on our website.Only then can you travel for 60 minutes on all our buses and trams (except the Student Express Lines 178 and 179). Note that the name on your account must be the same as on your identity card.

  • Note: are you using a 10-journey ticket for several people? Activate the number of tickets required via the website or app. If you are the holder of the 10-journey ticket, you must be present for the entire journey. If you are travelling as a group of fewer than 10 people, we recommend a group ticket.

How do you use a 10-journey ticket on an electronic card?

  • As soon as you board or transfer, scan your 10-journey ticket. Hold the card in front of the blue circle at the bottom of the yellow scanner. You can then travel for 60 minutes on all our buses and trams (except the Student Express Lines 178 and 179). You can complete your last ride, of course.

  • Do you want to know how many journeys there are on your card? Press the info button on the scanner and then scan your card. You will then be able to see how many journeys you have left or how long your ticket is still valid for. You can also use the info button on the ticket machines or check this online.

  • Note: are you using a 10-journey ticket for several people? Scan it once per passenger, in quick succession (within two minutes). Always wait until the white tick appears on the green field and keep track of how many times you have scanned it. It must be scanned for each passenger. Are you switching to another line? Then scan again for each person.

Our app: your smart travel companion...

Thanks to the real-time information in our redesigned app, you know when your bus or tram is coming. During the ride you will also be shown the upcoming stops. Take it a step further and set an alarm to notify you when it’s time to get off. Or activate immediately upon entering the vehicle your planned route so that the app guides you from departure to arrival. But that’s not all: our app is useful for lots of things. For buying your ticket, for example, or mapping out the best routes by train, tram, metro or bus.
