From Friday, July 17 to Sunday, July 26, 2026, Ghent immerses itself in celebration once again. Leave your car at home or park at one of the many park-and-ride locations and travel effortlessly with De Lijn to the heart of the Ghent Festivities. Here's how to reach the Ghent Festivities
Important
Starting at 1:00 p.m. , no trams or buses will run through the Festival Zone. They will stop at the edge of the zone, so you can continue on foot.
Tram GF will run all night between Flanders Expo, the city center (Koophandelsplein / Kouter – Zuid), and Melle Leeuw.
Tram T2 stops at the temporary, wheelchair-accessible Gravensteen stop located on Burgstraat at the intersection with Jan Breydelstraat.
Tram T3 runs normally between Zwijnaarde and Moscou.
Tram T4 runs from UZ Gent via Sint-Pietersstation and Rabot to Lange Steenstraat (near Gravensteen).
Buses via the Korenmarkt are being rerouted at Poel & Zuid.
Route Brugsepoort → Dampoort ? Take tram T4 to the Tolpoort stop and transfer to bus 5a or 5b toward Zuid and Nieuw Gent to the Dampoort stop (Gandastraat).
Route Brugsepoort → Zuid ? Take tram T4 toward UZ to the Rozemarijnbrug stop and transfer across the street to T1, T3, or the GF tram toward Melle Leeuw / Moscou.

During the Ghent Festivities, there are the familiar extra Festive Buses. Please note: G12, G50, and G60 depart from Gent Poel.

Coming by car? Avoid parking issues and transfer to bus or tram at one of the park-and-ride locations listed below. Tram GF operates around the clock between Flanders Expo, the center (Koophandelsplein - Kouter - Vogelmarkt - Zuid), P+R Arsenaal-Gentbrugge, and Melle Leeuw.
