Mobility Week: making sustainable choices together

What choices do we make?

• A bus that stops every 250 meters, or a faster route with fewer stops?

• Buses and trams running into the early hours, or extra buses during rush hour?

These are just a few examples of the choices we at De Lijn (have to) make.

These are pretty far-reaching choices. And we don’t make those choices alone. We make them together with the Flemish government, with cities and municipalities, with road authorities, and with the regional transport councils.

Together, we do everything we can to get you—and all other passengers—to your destination as smoothly as possible.

What choices do you make?

• Keep circling around looking for a parking spot in the city center, or park easily at the P+R and then take the bus or tram into town?

• Get frustrated in morning rush hour traffic or doze off a bit in the back seat of the bus?

• Watch the liters (and euros) pile up at the pump or quickly renew your pass and enjoy a year of worry-free travel?

Of course, you also make certain choices yourself. Price, time, and convenience naturally play an important role in this.

Especially during Mobility Week, we want to highlight one more aspect: this week is the ideal time to consider how you can get around as sustainably as possible.
